Emerging from decades of underground music culture, KEI continues to shape Velvet Ashes through post-punk atmosphere, dark melodic textures, and DIY philosophy.
Influenced by London punk, gothic rock, darkwave, and experimental soundscapes, his work blends music, memory, and cultural atmosphere into a continuing archive rather than a conventional band project.
Using guitars, basses, vintage-style effects, and atmospheric sound design, KEI creates the shadowed and cinematic foundation behind Velvet Ashes.
KEI is also the author of the English Kindle book

The book presents the world of Velvet Ashes as a cultural archive of Japanese darkwave, post-punk memory, and personal history.
Sin-dy
Vocals
Originally appearing during the final phase of Mode Automatic, Sin-dy unexpectedly entered the project not as a bassist － but as a vocalist.
What began almost accidentally eventually became part of the transition into Velvet Ashes.
With underground glamour, raw performance energy, and a shadowy theatrical presence, Sin-dy brought a new dimension into the evolving project.
Wolfgang Junkenstein Yaxx
Bass / Noise / Presence
Introduced through underground connections surrounding the project, Yaxx entered the Velvet Ashes universe naturally － first through conversation, drinks, and shared atmosphere.
Blending post-apocalyptic aesthetics, underground spirit, and raw stage presence, he carries traces of punk, gothic rock, and chaotic late-night club culture.
Together, the members of Velvet Ashes continue building a dark cultural archive shaped by music, memory, underground aesthetics, and the atmosphere of Tokyo nights.

Sin-dyは、Mode Automatic後期にベーシスト募集の流れの中で、なぜかボーカリストとして現れた。
その偶然の出会いは、やがてVelvet Ashesへの移行を形作る重要な要素となっていった。
アンダーグラウンドなグラム感覚、生々しいライブエネルギー、そしてどこか影を帯びた theatrical な存在感によって、Velvet Ashesに新しい空気をもたらしている。

Yaxxは、プロジェクト周辺のアンダーグラウンドな繋がりを通じて自然にVelvet Ashesへ流れ込んできた存在である。
まずは会話と酒、そして空気感の共有から始まり、その流れの中でプロジェクトに参加することとなった。
終末的な美学、アンダーグラウンド精神、荒々しいステージ感覚を持ち、パンク、ゴシックロック、深夜クラブカルチャーの混沌を感じさせる存在となっている。
Velvet Ashesは現在も、音楽、記憶、美学、そして東京の夜の空気を通して、ダークな文化アーカイブを作り続けている。
