We did not start Velvet Ashes to follow trends.
We started because there was something inside us that would not disappear.

For many years, music has been part of our daily life.
Old records.
Late-night listening sessions.
Small stages.
Quiet rehearsals.

We have seen scenes rise and fade.
We have watched movements appear and disappear.
But the need to create sound has never left us.

Darkwave, post-punk, and gothic music are not just genres to us.
They are languages − ways to express emotions that cannot always be spoken directly.

Loneliness.
Tension.
Memory.
Fear.
Hope.
Love.

These feelings exist in every country and every era.

We create music because silence is not enough.
There are moments when only sound can carry what we feel.

Velvet Ashes was born in Japan.
But the emotions behind our music are not limited to one place.

We believe that sound can travel beyond borders,

Velvet Ashes を始めたわけではありません。

消えることのない何かが、
自分たちの中にあったからです。

長い年月のあいだ、
音楽は私たちの日常の一部でした。

小さなステージ。
静かなリハーサル。

私たちは、シーンが生まれ、
そして消えていくのを見てきました。

離れることがありませんでした。
